I May Not Be Promised Tomorrow, But I Guarantee I Can Serve Jesus Today

Pray It Forward

I believe that the greatest tragedy’s in life are the prayers that unanswered because they go unasked. This past Sunday at STORYCHURCH we came up with the idea of a prayer life focused on others verses ourselves. We called it the “Pray It Forward initiative”. It goes like this:

For the next 30 days I WILL PRAY for (Pick person here) every day. After the 30 day initiative, I will meet with this person and tell them I have been praying for them. I  will then ask them to do the same for someone else.

Imagine if someone came up to you, told you that they have been praying for you everyday. For the last month this person has thought enough of you to pray for you. Imagine the conversation that will follow. Imagine how this persons life could be changed.

How would this gesture impact you?

Are you up for a change in your prayer life? Are you ready to live a life of prayers for someone else. If you do, I promise your life will never be the same.

Prayer is the link between God and His divine resources. Stand in the gap for someone else. You never know, you just may be the answer to there prayers.

We also went over what groups we can pray for that can make a difference in the world. They are:

  1. World Leaders- Matthew 9:35-38
  2. Church Leaders- 1Timothy 2:1-2
  3. Non-Believers- 1Timothy 2:3-6
  4. Enemies- Matthew 5:43-45
Also suggest reading Circle Maker by Mark Batterson. Amazing book that will change you thoughts on a life of prayer and the impact it can make in your life.
